The Lawrencetown & District Swimming Pool has been open since the 1970s! You can enjoy the history of the pool in the office by seeing the lovely painted squares from the lifeguards over the years. One of the earliest squares is dated summer of ‘92!

Our pool is funded by grants, generous donations from community members/organizations, and from the monies raised from our low cost swimming lessons and other activities.

This year we decided to bring back the Lawrencetown Laser Swim Club and which hasn’t been around for 10 or more years now! We have Parent & Tot, Aquacise, free swim, and adult lane swim. We also offer a space for the local day camp kids to play during the week. We pride ourselves in having low cost/or free programs for our community.

The Lawrencetown & District Swimming Pool is ran by a committee made up of locals who are passionate about being able to provide a place for our community to cool off, and learn to swim safely. We currently have 10 volunteer members on the committee and are always looking for others who wish to join in or can lend a hand painting.

This year we have 4 amazing lifeguards; Jacob, Abby, William and Xander. They’ve been wonderful guards and instructors, we hope to have them all back next summer!

We’ve got a variety of ways to help support us over the summer and throughout the year. We are selling jumbo Freezies, we have an account at the CRIA recycling depo for refundables, our friends at The Bees Knees have plants for sale which the profits are donated to us, and our other friends Catalpa Tree Wellness in partnership with Bees Knees are hosting yoga and biking events with the proceeds raised also being donated to us.
We’re a small, but mighty pool with dedicated staff, volunteers and friends to help make the pool better each and every year so everyone can enjoy a cool dip! Without the help of our amazing community we wouldn’t be operational or at least as operational as we are.
